send and receive a message in a bottle

I was just going to post this and you beat me to it! Kind of fun but it seems like you have to wait a long time for any bottles coming up to shore. They are working on upgrading today because some of the corks are hard to open. Also you can send a message to someone you know. :)
 
I was looking at that where you could send to someone, but the compass was not working.
yeah the wait can be kind of long. I just leave the window minimized if I'm doing something else and go back and check
 
I have had a lot of 'luck' receiving bottles quickly, but I am so disappointed with the overall stupidity of the messages. But maybe it's just the ones being sent to me...

I don't understand this: New System for Target Oceangrams

We have implemented a new system to protect users. In order for your Target Oceangram to be sent to the recipient, you must first go to your own email account and click the link that you receive from Oceangram for each Target Oceangram that you send. This will prevent abusers from hiding behind fake or other people's email addresses when sending Target Oceangrams. (Target Oceangrams are messages that you send to a particular person, to send one, start a normal Oceangram message and then click the Compass at the bottom right side of the sand).

I have been useing this for a few days now and now I can't get it to load. Does anyone know how to do it?

Oh, I am so happy I sent a email message to the owner of this site and now it loads for me!
 
Is the OceanGram server down or does it just not like Firefox? It's a dead link for me.
